I took a break from mindless surfing on BlogExplosion to go out and feed the horses. I turned on the garage light and came face to face with this -----

I think he (?) lives in my garage. We have a lot of skunks around here and they are fascinating. When I moved the feeding place for the cats from the barn to the garage two skunks actually came up and scratched on the door to the house. When I opened it they looked up at me like, "They said in the barn that the food had moved up here."
There were about 5 regulars around this summer but this one is the only one I've seen in the winter. They never spray. They don't care about people or cats or horses in the least. I just talk quietly and calmly to them so they know where I am and we get along great.

Thats cute! I've never gotten to see live skunks, just roadkill ones. -pout-
Wait, thats not true...I did see one in a pet store before.
